trust me this advice is a keeper!
Next year for Christmas DON'T leave after the kids go to school and scout every store in town for the latest gaming system. DON'T wait in line with dozens of other suckers for the UPS man to maybe deliver hottest gift in town.
Just go down to your local appliance store & pick up one of these.
An Appliance Box
That is if you can talk them out of one. They are a hot item.
At least with 8 year olds.

great advice! that picture is absolutely classic, one he will treasure as an adult. :) good thinking brett!
Definitely! We still have our box from a couple years ago when we finally broke down and bought a TV. It's a bit altered, though; I cut little notches in the top and covered it with contact paper, with a doorway in one side - it's our castle!
Best gift this year, though, for Charlotte: a full-length mirror (it's true, we didn't have one of those in the house, either). We're still young parents and we're learning ... as in, dress-up clothes without a mirror are just okay, no matter how fabulous the actual clothes are; dress-up clothes *with* a mirror are hours upon hours of hilarious entertainment!
Hooray for simple gifts and big imaginations!
What a great picture, it's so cute that he's even sleeping in it!
There is something magical about a box when you're a kid! It can be so many fun things..a boat..a hut..a bed! I love it! Who needs technology?! I love how you wrote "Trent's box" So cute!
