finally fixed

Tonight- I have been totally fed up with this computer...
Then- MAGICALLY- Hailey's friend Ryan
FIXED IT
Thanks to Ryan-
Here are some photos from our week.
---
If you ever go to Trader Joe's-- ever
Pick up one of these babies.
BEST CANDY BAR
Oh I love them.
And I don't even like pb & j sandwiches- go figure?

Every Single Day
My beautiful hens lay eggs.
I just can't get over it, maybe you are sick of reading about them- but I love you ladies.

This is a photo of Brian holding one of his darling babies!
I think this is Crew.

I know this guy below is Finn.

I am so very impressed with what a wonderful team Brian & Laura have made!
*They are already amazing parents*
I stop by for at least 1/2 hour or more-- EVERYDAY.
It is an absolute joy for me.
One day- Laura was taking a nap & I had Crew. Brian changed Finn's diaper & there it went... he peed all over. Brian was like- hey no sweat- he took off his clothes & gave him a bath! WITHOUT Laura- I was like... do you need help? do you need Laura to help? Nope he just took over, gave him a bath. He confidently washed his sweet little body & head. Then, got him back dressed. Wow. Impressive. I don't think I have ever seen a new dad so involved & competent.
He & Laura- they just have it all together over there.

This past week- Trent & I spent some time together.
We went shopping- Trent thought the boys needed this Fisher Price Car. Ya, maybe?

We had our annual Valentine's Dinner
a week late.
Better late than never, right?

Look at these deer that were in our back yard!
Crazy huh

The twinners got weighed at the pediatrician's office.
They are doing so good-
Finn has already topped his birth weight by 2 oz. Crew- is following up close.

It was a busy week & it all starts over again tomorrow.

This week!

It's been a great first week of school-
A new year- change- hope- boundless possibilities- that's how I feel about the start of a new school year.
Our morning routine is off to a great start & I am loving it! We have started reading scripture as a family every morning (minus trent) at 6:30. That means I'm getting up at 6:15 to start some breakfast to make it a little easier for everyone. This is something we have done before at different times of the day but never this early. It's a hard thing to do- but the hardest week (the first) is behind us & I can tell, it's a good thing.I've been walking trent to school & then going on for a walk with max, then trying to make the most of every day. It's hard - I'm adjusting- I don't do change very well & I'm struggling with my day time routine- but I know it will come. This picture really sums up Max's heartbreak with all the kids away...look at that sad face. He was so happy dad came home for lunch on Tuesday!
And hey look at this- I found a new candy bar at the grocery store this week- Snickers Rockin Nut Road- mmm good stuff
that'll get you going!
so we're off to a great new year
has school started at your house?
do you have your "day time" routine down....?

Taste Test Wednesday- UPDATED

Have you seen these? I HAVE- I found one in 7-eleven (I love 7-eleven) last summer while stopping with the ballet girls to get slurpees (I love slurpees on a hot day.)
I fell in love with them immediately. I love Elvis & he had such good eating habits...?
So sure they SHOULD make a special tribute to him with a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup- Right? By-the-way, who knew there were special addition peanut butter cups?
You can read about it here - a candy blog- which gives them a 7 out of 10- pretty good! Or check out the official Hershey website here.
Elvis reminds me of when I was a girl. My mom loved Elvis movies & somtimes there would be an Elvis Movie- on the 3:00 movie, which came on just as I came home from school. I think I remember my mom cried when Elvis died. Well, this afternoon while Jack & Seth were home eating lunch. I ran to the store & happen upon a few. The clerk told me NOBODY likes these- I said I DO I just haven't boughten any because the are so hard to find. I starting thinking maybe I should see if the boys like them or if I have just never met a chocolate I didn't like???

Seth loved them. Jack is faking trying them. The big wimp says he isn't a banana cream pie kind of guy. WHAT IN THE WORLD? Can this be my son? If he wasn't the spitten image of my father (the true banana cream pie lover) I would swear he was switched at birth.

Hailey went a long. She had mixed feelings.
Results on Chloe & Trent will come in today. I forgot to give them one to try since I was knee deep in a sewing project- in my newly cleaned laundry room-OH MAN AM I LOVING IT! UPDATE- THE RESULTS ARE IN.
You can see for yourself, Chloe gives them an enthusiastic thumbs up... Trent doesn't want to eat chocolate in the morning. I have failed as a mother. Last night was New Beginnings. A traditional program for Young Women in our church. Hailey played DeBussy. It was amazing. I snuck in a video- don't tell her, she'll find out soon enough.

I know I am up early- Brett comes home from a business trip today. I was having bad dreams & can't sleep. I miss Brian. I got up & read his last two emails & prayed he's okay.

*do you like/love Elvis? Come on You can be honest!
*have you seen these peanut butter cups?
*have you/will you try one?
*do you miss Brian too?

It's Hot - And I'm Mad

Today was Trent's day to celebrate his summer birthday at school. Just before school got out (it was an early day) I went in with juice boxes for him to hand out to classmates. It was SO HOT in his classroom. The poor teachers & kids. I think this is the hottest year that we have been here- and guess what? There is NO air conditioning in UT schools unless you're a year round school or new (that means jr high & H.S. too). Yes, you read me right- no air conditioning. It was a whopping 89 degrees in his class. The poor teacher a 26 year veteran, had a cold compress around her neck. There is a portable swamp cooler & fans (that she paid for with her OWN money)...but yes it's 89 degrees. His teacher told me that a boy in the class had heat exhaustion threw up & had to go home early. I am so MAD. It would be cruel & unusual punishment for prisoners to go without air conditioning~ but teachers & kids- who cares?! Well I do & I am writing to the school board & my legislators today. If you are interested here are some email addresses for you. Just for your information the computer rooms, offices & administrative office have AC- you see they are open year round- YA Right

Obviously I am not running a political blog here & on a lighter note have you seen these...?
I have & I love them.

I love this picture of trent- who looks like he is cherishing this candy bar. By-the-way, they are really good. Truthfully he almost never eats candy, would much rather have an apple. He does love cookies though.

My New Favorite

Yesterday I read about these on Kristi's blog- I was in target-they were on sale... one thing lead to another. Wow, I have a new favorite candy check these out!

My other new favorite is a recipe from my friend Carlyn who is from Hawaii & we eat them at least once a week. So easy & delicious!
HAWAIIN MEATBALLS
Mix these ingredients together:
1 jar wishbone russian dressing
1 can pineapple chunks with the juice
1/2 cup peach preserves
1 packet of dry onion soup mix
Pour over 1/2 bag of Costco meatballs bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Serve with rice. ENJOY!
