some grandma time

One of the days I was at Megan's house
I babysat while she went for a run.
Megan is an amazing athlete!
She just ran a 10K race on Labor Day & her time was 1:08.
 CRAZY AWESOME
(She definitely did get that from her mother...)

Anyhow-
I was so so thrilled to babysit - oh ya.
Here are a few pictures.

We also went to dinner & shopping one night.

Look at this- red & yellow curry chicken burrito- YUM

and Korean tacos!

In my week- there was a lot of wrestling

and "elephant rides."

Plus lots of trying on Nana's glasses

and using Nana's straws.

We had the best time!
Best of all-
I went to the airport & waited & waited...
and my flight was canceled.
Imagine Megan's surprise when I had to call her & ask her to pick me back up!?

(whatever? My head look ginormous?!)
She was having a baby shower at her house that night so I got to go back & help out.

Man I love these guys!
I miss them so much- but they have a wonderful life way down south.
So- for now I am happy we can face time!!

crystal bridges

Last month when I was at Megan's house
we went to visit
It was so much fun!
When Crystal Bridges first opened, I remember wishing I could go & thinking I would never get to visit... I am so happy I got the chance to go- and with Megan & her 3 boys!!!
(tony met us there after work)

How sweet are these two!?
Man... I miss them.

Crystal Bridges is a world class museum.
It's stunning~ There was a traveling exhibit featuring one of the few copies left of the constitution. No photos allowed. That was so cool- I was wishing Jack could be there!
The building is so well planned out & the grounds surrounding the museum are stunning. Great job here.

My favorite exhibit was definitely the modern art.

Get a look at this American Gothic done in spools of thread!

When you look through the viewing sphere- there it is.
really cool

This was mesmerizing for me.
I have to be on constant awareness with myself in places like this...
Oh dear, I have to admit... I have this strong desire to touch everything!
For heaven's sake! What am I- 5 years old?
I just want to touch it for a second???
I contained the urges to touch.

It was so fun to walk around the museum with Charlie & Joey.
They are such good boys & had plenty of energy.
I'm not sure Megan & Tony will be headed here regularly- but now & then is good enough.
(We were caught giving the boys crackers & almost got in trouble--- twice)

For sure the best part of the museum for the boys- was the children's interactive art area.
(say that ten times fast)
There was lots of fun things to do - but Charlie & Joey were all about the puppet theater.

It was such a fun trip for me-
and guess what?
Megan recently got an IPhone so now we get to face time!
Face time has made me feel not so far away.
Miss you guys!

just a few pictures of all the fun

Seriously there is nothing better than having my two sweet grand babies here!
Here are a few pictures of some of the fun we had last month.

Brett & the boys!

Charlie having fun in Chloe's room with Hailey's ukulele.

Charlie in the family room window "up high."

Joey the sweet heart.
Oh words cannot describe how sweet this boy is!

Uncle Brian a big fan of nephews.

The night before Jack came home we went downtown & visited the new
 City Creek Center...
oh my- good job Salt Lake City!

It's a world class shopping center with a creek running through it- beautiful & so fun.

There is a Disney Store there!
Trent was in love with the Muppet characters from the Muppet Movie.

We went to Kneaders for treats-- YUM.

Two photos- two sets of eyes shut. Oh well.

Charlie found some cute things as we explored.

REally cute & delicious cookies.

We had so much fun- I waited to long to blog it all.
I really didn't want to- it just happened.
STill --- it was heaven on earth.
