The blogger mom's & I went to breakfast this morning!

It was really fun to catch up on every one's summer & visit for a while.

My summer time grove is on now-- it takes me a while to get used to changes. Now I am just melting from the heat. It's been near 100 everyday this week & is supposed to top that in the days ahead.

Breakfast is & has always been Brett's favorite meal- & guess what?

after all these years of him loving breakfast food & me not- I'm finally loving it too.

crazy busy day

Today I had a crazy, busy, really good day!

After running multiple errands including buying 8 tomato plants for our garden (our garden... a whole other post.) I met up with my blogging buddies & we drove down to CPK.It was time for our monthly lunch & we invited Jill & Michelle to meet up with us. The food was fantastic & the company the same. I had this DElicIOus pizza- pear gorganzola- it's not on the menu, I had heard of it but couldn't remember, then michelle ordered it- so I copied her. I Love gorganzola- this pizza did not dissapoint & by the way it's coming back to the menu soon according to our waitress.

I was the lucky one who got to sit across from Michelle & Eva. That Eva- wow, she's a doll & was so good. We had some great fun eating & visiting. I'm not sure Jill & michelle knew what they were getting into going to lunch with us? We're a little loud plus the restaraunt was really loud. Maybe I'm getting old but as much as I love this place, I don't like loud restaraunts.

Afterwards we stopped by here & I got brett a piece of his favorite candy- oh ya -it's still in my purse... then I came back to my town, ran some quick errands (there's a lot to do the last week 1/2 of school) then went home to meet the kiddos. Everyone is good- & guess what I got a great email & some pictures of the missionary-- love it. I am going to blog that later.


During my errands I picked up some stuff for good mail, put together some packages for the missionary & the newlyweds & more. I just finished putting together 3 more packages for 3 other great missionaries- brian's friends. I hope they are really surprised & happy to get them.

blogger girls cook...cupcakes

Yesterday morning I made these cupcakes. I was so excited because it was my monthly blogger mom's lunch. I picked up salads at a local shop then we all met at Wende's to eat & learn to make her delicious butter cream frosting- plus how to frost them so cute like she does.

As I was leaving the lunch crowd came in. I haven't taken a picture for a long time of these guys so I said hey look at the camera- what a bunch of turkeys!

Wende makes the most delicious fresh lemon butter cream frosting! She had sweet packages for all of us- including these disposable pastry bags, her favorite decorating tips, & sprinkles. Plus- the cutest soaps. She is so over the top thoughtful.Look at this talent-she's a natural.

We all had a blast!!

This was so much fun! I have really grown to love these ladies. We have worked together for years- at our kid's schools. But- blogging has made us real friends.

Vivi liked the pink ones! A lot. Me too.

We all left with goodies- I took a dozen to Brett's office & guess what, one of his co-workers called me his hero!? When I got home I promptly gave away all of my cupcakes-fewwww! I had my fill and certainly didn't need them around.

Blogger Lunch

Yesterday I met with these great gals for our first ever blogger lunch. We have all been friends & work together on various PTA & community projects for years but other than that didn't really know each other.

It so happens that we are all bloggers & wow- I really feel a bond with them now. I can't explain it but I know they understand some of the things going on in my life- I theirs- we share ideas & encouraging comments- I love blogging. I feel such a connection to the blogs I read & to those who comment on mine. It is fun to get together & talk "blog" get ideas, ask questions, & just visit. I have a bunch of new questions for next months lunch already.
