Because of an idea I got from a couple of bloggers- Bakerella & Lelly
I had a cupcake swap last June!
Bakerella is one of my favorite sights with the most gorgeous cupcakes & other creations!
Lelly has her annual Soup Swap- which is such a great idea- I just thought for the summer I would put my very own twist on it with -
CUPCAKES
It was so much fun I would really love to do it again.

I've never hosted a swap of any kind, and have only been to one Christmas cookie exchange type thing.
I like the idea of a swap though and need to come up with something I'd be really thrilled to get.
I love swaps, Patsy. I've never ever thought of a cupcake swap, though. Good idea!

The cupcakes would be so fun (they are almost too darling to eat--almost) and tasty!
i have to say, you've steered me towards bakerella from time to time, and i'm always so intimidated!! i love the idea of a cupcake swap - i remember you sharing photos of yours.

These cupcakes look like they could be marshmallows dipped in chocolate and then decorated....mmm
My husband used to say, why don't you ladies all get together and all give the hostess $10 then switch who hosts. This is when he was getting tired of all the parties- Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, etc. It made me laugh. Of course swaps are quite different. I loved all the cupcakes. Of course recipes and tutorials would have been very nice!
seriously I took tons of pictures of my cupcakes in the process of making them... then realized I didn't have my camera card in & I lost my camera cord & ya I should go buy another one but that would just be too easy now wouldn't it?-
I still have the pictures on my internal memory. one of these days I will do that- maybe.
and karrie- ya the money swap that's a good idea ;) I have some one dollar bills I would love to swap you for!

I have never been involved in any kind of an swap. They do so so fun however. I LOVE cupcakes. Not so much eating them, but I love to see creative cupcakes!

I remember your cupcake swap earlier this summer. A few weeks ago we had a ward party and a woman who is a professional caterer brought cupcakes and they were to die for. I am officially hooked.
