closing night of the "best show ever"

Tonight was closing night of what Trent has declared -" the best show ever!"Knowing how much he hated Wicked in NY last month & not to mention how he has refused to go to see his sibling's in musicals over the years... we were really nervous to take him to the parent preview on Wednesday night. Even so, I bought him a ticket for closing night & invited his best buddy lily & her sister Caroline to come along. Closing night is always my favorite performance in all the shows my kids are in, and the most difficult tickets to come by. The energy & excitement is right on. The actors/kids always put their all into closing night, and tonight was no different. Funny thing is-
Trent loved it!
We all loved it!!
Trent sat on the edge of his seat, clapped & laughed in all the right places, and at one point leaned over & hollered- "I hope you are recording this- I want to watch it again later!"
What in the world?

The kids were GREat-

The show was darling. Catchy music, cute costumes. It's really amazing what fabulous musical theater experiences there are in our town for kids. These kids don't know how lucky they are.

Hailey was the cutest- of course!

Her & her best friend Tiff.
Trent ran down stage as soon as the show was over to see all the characters. Hailey introduced him to his favorite- Snoopy. You can see by the look on his face- he was delighted. I asked him if he wanted Hailey to introduce him to the kid who played Charlie Brown- no thanks.
This kid was a fantastic snoopy-
Trent- "He was so funny!" His favorite part, when snoopy was pretending to fight the Red Baron on his tree house pretending it was an airplane.

This video is for you trent!
way to go hailey

This looks so fun! There is nothing like musical theater for a fun activity to be involved in; my good friend is the jr high drama teacher in Sp Fork and also directs tons of community theater. It's been so fun over the years to watch her in action.

Oh my goodness, that minute seventeen seconds raised my blood pressure for sure...I just can't take theater!

It's hilarious that Trent thought it was the best show ever, maybe you should write the Wicked people and get your money back.

Way to go Hailey! Will there be more theatre in her future?

Glad everyone (esp. Trent) liked it. I heart all things Charlie Brown.

I love Trents smile in the photo... he is soooo happy about getting to meet Snoopy! So fun! He has always had a thing for C.B. no surprise he loved it. I hope it gets him excited to do musicals. You just can't be done any time soon... one more, just one more drama kid!

I love this post... you may never get seats for the closing show again since you let out that secret, but good to know!

HUGS!!!

I was not aware that Trent did not like Wicked (what the?!)--

This Charlie Brown production looked very cute...I'm glad it was a good experience for all--it's so funny that Trent wanted you to film it for future viewing.
