finale

Saturday's Nutcracker finale was really great.
We found out Chloe's cover art was chosen as a finalist for the program- very exciting.

Plus megan, tony, brittany, ruthie & sarah came!
We didn't have a bbsitter but did have an extra ticket...
so we braved it & brought Trent along for the very first time- I was more than a little nervous... But he DID GREAT! He sat through the whole performance & loved it.
He did ask to go home many times, but we made it & he's been talking about that intermingled with more cell phone misery for days now.
His favorite part- "the blue soldiers, they have guns. The red soldiers have nothin' how are they going to fight the mouse king?"
I was wondering the same thing?

...as a little girl my parents used to take me to ballet performances and when i was 18 i got to see the Kirov ballet perform Swan Lake in St. Petersburg which was still Leningrad at the time(1992). Ballet performances vividly linger in your mind just waiting for a chance to be called forward. Ballet is an amazing art. The Nutcracker has such a history... Tchaikovsky's music and it was first performed by the Kirov ballet. I hope some sweet little girl was enamored w. ballet because she got to see your daughter's production. What fun it must be to have daughters!

I love that Trent asked to go home many times, yet he loved it. Good for you for taking him!
