(me wearing two "real" shoes- impressive I know?!)
Do you ever have a great day- get loads done- then wake up the next day & feel completely off?
Like you don't even want to get out of bed?Yesterday was so productive. Today--- I'm trying, I really am. My ankle hurts. My book club is meeting tonight & I didn't read the book. My floors are filthy. I went shopping for church clothes to wear that don't require heels- (I'm not wearing heels for at least a year) just to discover again that I'm fat, nothing fits & I look horrible. Dressing rooms? I swear... it's like being in a torture chamber. Does anyone look good in a dressing room? With all the technology in the world- why can't I find a skirt to wear?
I did go get a pedicure. The hot water & extra massage is helping with the sore tightness. I did get new sturdy shoes with absolutely no heel. (I'm so paranoid I don't even want to wear my sneakers)
and ya-- I did get some sweet potato fries....
and ya-- I did get some sweet potato fries....
what can I say? I'm having one of those days!!
*can you relate?

i just keep watching the numbers on the scale go up!! the only thing that makes that feel better is something yummy!
Absolutely, I can relate! Except for me, it's not so much the weight issue (still nursing!) as it is the sleep issue. Saw some recent snapshots of myself and I was horrified at how old and tired I looked!
And today, I absolutely *must* get this house presentable (including cleaning the floors *again* and folding the mountain of laundry in the living room that I've ignored for a week) since playgroup is here tomorrow. Blah.
Ah, thanks for asking - felt good to rant a little :)
But hey! Those are some super cute shoes - always good for a smile around here :)
The shoes are very cute...and a pedicure...that's good stuff.
I often have those kinds of days. I think maybe our mind and body just need a day off sometimes after so much productivity;)
Cute shoes!!! Tomorrow will be better since we will be hanging out!!
I have these kind of days just about every week......I think I get over loaded and then can't get anything done!!
:) See you in the morning!!
I feel for you young lady!! I ripped my calf muscle a couple months ago and couldn't walk for a couple weeks w.out crutches but my doc got me right into physical therapy. Are you doing that? plus a good P.T can start massages, though it hurts, which will start working out the swelling etc. With that and the exercises, you can start getting your mental and physical components back into their groove. Heh, I am a skirt girl too. Go for A-line. Try Harolds either online at Harolds.com or go to their store at Trolley Square. They can be pricey but they last forever and they have great sales. Plus they love to wait on you there. If you meet the manager Cheryl, tell her I sent you. I'm a long time cstmr.
You are totally correct! Dressing rooms ARE torture chambers! REmember the "Cathy" cartoons? I always loved the ones about Cathy in the dressing rooms.
I feel fat, too & nothing fits. We're in the same boat. I guess the boat is a huge steamliner, in order to fit us both in it.
Gotta laugh, or I'll cry!!! hahahaha....waaahh! Sniffle.
Uh Yeah!
I am right with you.
Fat and can't find anything to wear. I looked down while tring to squeeze into a skirt and must have voiced some frustrations and my husband was standing behind me... and he said "if you wouldn't eat so much"...
I just went in the closet and cried... I really didn't need fixing, I was just frustrated!
So needless to say, today I am not so productive either.
Can't find any clothes to wear and can't find anything I would buy looking like this!
Hate dressing rooms aka torture chambers!
Love fries (afraid to try the s.p. ones... don't need another addiction)!
My floors are filthy too!
And the girls at yoga class will be calling me any minute now to see why I am not there! Uggg!
Hang in there! You aren't alone!
Love you!
Of course I can relate! Every time I go shopping I have an identity crisis, followed by an epiphany about finally hitting rock bottom, promptly followed up with a strong desire to go get something to eat. Guess which part of the cycle I'm best at??
i keep asking myself the same thing about why can't someone make a pair of fat jeans that isn't for someone seven feet tall? seriously, do you think because i'm fat i also have to be the jolly green giant? or fashion challenged?
i love your shoes, especially after getting a good look at them today - i really may be copying you for a good pair of shoes to wear around disneyland.
and yes, i can relate. i have that not wanting to get out of bed feeling almost every day. tomorrow is another day. it's all good.
love ya!
I love those shoes!! I can't really wear heels anymore, either, it's disappointing but what can you do?
