We went to Ikea & these are the best pictures I got?

Yesterday morning we all jumped out of bed, quickly got dressed & ran down to Ikea.

I cannot believe how bad.... really bad folks... the pictures I took were. I don't know if it was the morning rush- or the fact it's going to snow again? But- I was seriously off my game. You would NEver know we had a GREAT time.

I don't know what's up with Trent these days-- but he is getting all mature on us. It's AWESOME. We had tickets to the afternoon session of conference this past weekend (no photos) he was an angel & loved it. Now we are going to Ikea? HE WAS PERFECT. again. I guess he is growing up? I love it.

Laura had never been to Ikea. Brian & she are working on putting together their first apartment so us girls & I- KNEW she had to go there. Because we love her so much, we wanted to go too. We shopped & dreamed & for some reason every single time I go to Ikea I think I need my kitchen remodeled? Hmm? After Ikea we ran to the mall & bought Brian his wedding suit. Oh boy- he looks mighty fine in that suit. How exciting, my boy in a wedding suit. Crazy. Lunch at Ikea is definitely my favorite. Trent here - wouldn't smile. But I'm telling you- he was having fun!!! really? truly? don't you believe me?

on this day

This was my view out the front door.
9 new inches of snow
Hooray- Brian was home this morning to shovel.
{7:00 AM March 7, 2011}
so he came in to hot muffins & fresh orange juice.
***
Wende stopped over this morning & after some other plans fell through,
we made an impromptu, long trip down to IKEA.
Lucky for us we got to drive Brett's new company car & listen to Sirius radio- the clean comedy channel- & laughed our heads off the whole way there & back. Gosh, I love that Sirius radio. After the free six month trial... life won't be the same ... because I just can't stand the thought of paying for radio?
Lunch at IKEa- mmm good
The meatballs are FanTastiC
the
Mac & Cheese
just as good!
It's been a busy, but Great day.
In case you are wondering- the sun came out & the roads were absolutely clear driving. It's very rare that the roads are bad after the snow. Here in Utah we are totally equipped for snow. It's during the snow that you don't want to be out!

I won't go into all the other stuff that I did today- I just want to say- it was a good day.
* do you have Sirius radio?
*how do you feel about paying for radio?

Summer Fun!

In my attempt to do something fun with the kids before school starts we sat down & made a list of all the things we want to do in the next 3 weeks. One of the many, was to visit IKEA. This may not seem like a big deal to most- but it's big here in Utah. The store just opened in May & it is amazing, if you've never been to one you really need to check it out. Trent was super excited to go into the play land which is ultra cool with tons of modern toys & a large ball pit. The girls were in heaven wandering through the many "decorated rooms." Let me just say they each have new ideas for what they want on their birthdays. The best part was Aimee my niece met us there. She is so cute & so much fun. We got trent out of play land then had lunch~ .99 mac & cheese for kids! He was a little overwhelmed by the whole place. He kept saying - we're never going to find our way out of this place- (it's huge!) Every so often there are little kiosk areas with activities for kids who are undoubtedly board since their parents are completely mesmerized by millions of affordable products. On the way home we stopped off at Dad's office & brought him some swedish raspberry cookies- did I mention IKEA is a swedish store? Well we're back home & ready to drive ballet carpool. I am hoping to do a ballet post tonight or tomorrow.
Have any good ideas for us?
