christmas day 2013

Christmas morning we spent with Brian, Laura & the twins.
Christmas day in the afternoon we drove down south - about an hour away- to Megan & Tony's house.

We had loads of delicious finger foods for dinner- YUM.

We opened presents & watched Disney's Mulon-
The boys got it for Christmas.

We were lucky & got to be there to see the nightly wrestle mania & pillow fight.
Loved it-

Papa helped the boys set up the bucket of pvc pipes he brought them.
They make the best forts & weapons.

He put together this fort making kit for them  and

I bought them this magnet board (car drip pan) and magnets.
I found the idea on Pinterest!
I am a huge fan-

Megan sent me this picture of the boys playing with it the next day.
There is nothing-- nothing-- like being with kids at Christmas time.
It's pure magic.
We are so happy to have our Grandchildren close enough to visit and We Are Super Happy that
next month we are expecting another grandson!
It's been a while since I've talked about it-
but he will be here soon.
LIKE NEXT MONTH PEOPLE
Grandson #5
We are absolutely elated & so happy to have all these wonderful boys in our lives!
Bring on 2014!

grandpa's home

Two weeks ago, Brett had a business trip to Denver. He flew Southwest Airlines for the first time in a long time... and found out--- HE HAD A FREE TICKET that was about to expire. What's a grandpa to do?Go visit his two best grandsons- that's what!

He left last Thursday & got home last night. I know he travels now & then- I know it was only 5 days- but it felt like he was gone much longer. He played hide & seek, held sweet Joey, mowed the lawn, baby sat while megan & tony went to see Harry Potter, ate frozen custard, watched movies, took naps & much, much more. In other words: he had a GREAT time.

Thanks for having him Megan & Tony!

We only wish he would have had 5 free tickets!

Maybe next time?

supermen

Charlie loves Grandpa.
He would run to him & put his arms up for him to pick him up.
Grandpa has pencils behind his ear & Charlie loves to get them!
It was so fun to see them together.
It reminds me of the old days when Grandpa was Daddy.
Grandpa days = good stuff.
p.s. yes.. my blog is done being private.
Blogger saved all your addresses in case I change my mind... again. A couple of months ago, Missionary jack told me he gave my blog address to a friend in Brazil. It made me sad knowing his friend wouldn't be able to get on & it's been on my mind since. So- I'm back for the whole world to see. For now.

it's true....

My Grandpa really is the BEST...
especially since he bought my Grandma a new camera

just before I was born.
We've been playing together with it
All day!
